Links I saved this month | December 2020
It's the end of 2020, and I would like to share some tools and website that I will definitely be using in 2021, so we could call this the “New Year Resolutions” edition.
After spending months in lock-down sitting at my computer, doing nothing but work, I realised that my body needed to move and exercise. Exercising did improve my mood in addition to my physical health.
- Chloe Ting – Free Workout programs. Chloe Ting has a set of free workouts that are easy enough for beginners, but challenging enough to be exciting. The titles of plans and workouts are a bit “extra”, but the plans are solid (just don't go and expect visible abs in two weeks).
Our minds need to exercise too, to be healthy. Here are a couple of sites with free, solid courses:
Khan Academy | Free Online Courses, Lessons and Practices. Focuses on basic and advanced academic subjects, such as math, science, computing, history, art history, economics, etc...
Google Digital Garage. Great tools to learn digital marketing skills that can be used to grow an online activity, or simply to understand more how the world of digital marketing works. There are free courses, and paid for courses that also offer certification
Board Games are the best tool to relax, be social, and keep our minds active in a fun way. I usually play board games and tabletop RPGs with my close group of friends, but this year we had to put our D&D campaign on hiatus. Thankfully though, there are online platforms for playing games.
- Board Game Arena. Many free games and an impressive catalogue for subscribed users. You only need one premium account to play premium games together, so it is possible to split the price with friends, which makes the subscription pretty affordable.
And this will be my last post of 2020! Here's to a less crappy 2021 for everyone.
